Why does One Heart McKinney exist?

We create community partnerships to solve BIG problems.

Nearly 12,000 McKinney residents live below the federal poverty level. 

That can be easy to overlook in a city where the median household income is $124,215.

A request for food may reveal a family that also needs employment, transportation, or mental-health support.

More than one-third of McKinney ISD students are economically disadvantaged.

Approximately 1 out of every 3 students, according to the Texas Education Agency.

We'll help you get the help you need

Anyone can ask us for help. Our trained navigators connect our neighbors in need with referral partners in an intentional and caring way.

 

Through our personal approach, we work to find solutions and help families.
